In June 2011, WMS Recruitment purchased Fridaybridge Camp near Wisbech in Cambridgeshire, which offers purpose built accommodation for up to 400 workers.

Situated within 12.7 acres of grounds, Fridaybridge Camp features self-contained shared accommodation, enhanced by a wide range of on-site facilities including bar, shop, swimming pool, barbecue areas, tennis court, basketball court, football pitch, fully equipped gymnasium and a solarium.

In order to secure the premises and ensure the safety of everyone on the site, WMS Recruitment asked CTS Security for expert help.


The Brief

WMS Recruitment pride themselves on looking after their workers both at work and during leisure time. It is of paramount importance that management are aware of who enters and exits the camp at all times.

It covers not only our site entrance but also our on site shop and other vulnerable areas of our office. On top CTS have integrated a superb alarm system with swipe entrance and exit facility and also ensured our main accommodation blocks have a fully functioning fire alarm system with room isolation facility and emergency lighting to meet our full security requirements.

The Solution

CTS Security recommended and installed a High Definition IP CCTV System to monitor the main entrance to the camp and associated car parks. The system was extended into the office complex and on-site shop to provide further security.

Of equal importance was the ability to remotely view the site
on a variety of smart phones and tablets – this is where the
Avigilon HD Stream Management came into its own.

With limited internet bandwidth (1.5Mbps) due to the location, it would have been impossible to view the eight 5 megapixel cameras remotely with any other system. Avigilon only sends the portion of the image you require. That means
you get incredible image quality and resolution with only a tiny amount of bandwidth and storage.

The Result

The management at WMS are now safe in the knowledge that the camp is secure and their employees are safe. They can search through vast amounts of HD footage in just a few seconds, correct any misdemeanours and implement changes where necessary.
